Description

As a Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the US Air Force for over twenty years, my career consisted of training in some form or function every day of my life. The first assignment of my AF career was the USAF Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, In minimal time I was selected to work in the Intensive Care Unit where I became a unit trainer in less than 12 months. This seems to have set the stage for my entire time in the AF as I continued to excel and quickly grow into a training role in every assignment.

Over the course of my 24 year career I spent >10 years on flying status transporting sick and injured on fixed-wing aircraft for definitive medical care. After initially completing Aeromedical Evacuation Flight training and being assigned to a flying unit, I was chosen to become an Instructor after only one year. Within only one more year I was selected for upgrade to Flight Evaluator and assigned to the Standardization and Evaluation office. In this position I was responsible for performing inflight evaluations of crew members and evaluating the training program. This was an extremely satisfying position as I was able to shape many young airmen and women.

My final assignments were also rewarding. As the Superintendent and Senior Enlisted member of a Medical Group I was responsible for all enlisted training programs. My final assignment was a culmination of all the prior assignments as I was posted to the School of Aerospace Medicine.

Accomplishments

My training accomplishments are best summed up by the assignments and responsibilities I had the honor to be selected for throughout my career.
